An iTRE is a Tamper Resistant Element integrated inside a System-on-Chip (SoC), capable of hosting one or more secure functions such as eSE, SIM and eSIM all together to build a more powerful chip. It is GlobalPlatform and GSMA standards compliant that allows to host subscription management and secure applications such as payment and transportation. It is especially suitable for devices that require small dimensions, low energy consumption, or high levels of accessible memory and/or advanced computing power.
Valid’s OTA platform helps mobile operators to remotely access and update their smart cards or secure elements in the field, without the need to physically access them. The remote management services are key for any entity that controls device connectivity, whether it is a MNO, MVNO, MVNE or Mobile Virtual Network Aggregators, as well as the service providers themselves, especially the ones related to IoT.
In addition to that, Valid’s platform includes the IMSI Manager solution that helps mobile players to manage IMSI values used by a Multi IMSI applet. An eUICC, also known as embedded SIM, is a secure standalone component that allows mobile operators and OEMs to remotely manage their customer’s mobile subscriptions. It is compliant with GSMA standards that allows to host subscriptions of different mobile operators during the entire lifecycle of the device and comes in different form factors to support a variety of eSIM strategies.
